Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton (knee) did not participate in practice on Wednesday. As preparation for Week 16 begins, Otton was not involved. Although any sort of injury is concerning, especially in the fantasy football playoffs, managers should not panic yet. Otton still has two more days to log a limited or full practice, which would put him in a good position to play on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. If the 25-year-old suits up, he'd rank as a low-end TE1 in most fantasy leagues.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton took a backseat in the offense during Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Otton finished with a 70-yard performance last week, but was unable to keep the momentum going this weekend. He hauled in two of his three targets for 24 yards in the win. His biggest contribution was a key block on the Jalen McMillan touchdown grab in the first quarter. Otton has finished with 30 receiving yards or less in three of the last four games. Fantasy managers can keep him on the TE2 radar for next week against the Dallas Cowboys.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton has seen his fantasy value take a dip over the last few weeks. However, Otton was able to have some success during last week's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Otton hauled in three of his four targets for 70 yards in the win. This marked the first time that Otton has hit the 70-yard mark since Week 9. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect Otton to produce his TE1 numbers anymore with wide receiver Mike Evans healthy now. Otton has been held to five receptions or less in each of the last four games. He should be considered a TE2 for the Week 15 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton was able to break out of his slump during Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Otton hauled in three of his last four targets for a team-high 70 yards in the win. It's worth noting that a majority of Otton's yardage came on a 44-yard reception, but at least fantasy managers were able to get something out of Otton. The third-year tight end has taken a backseat in this offense since wide receiver Mike Evans returned to the mix. At this point, fantasy managers shouldn't consider Otton anything more than a TE2 going forward.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton has come back down to Earth following his elite three-game stretch. The return of wide receiver Mike Evans has pretty much finished the elite Otton era in Tampa Bay. Over the last two games, Otton has five receptions for 50 yards and he hasn't found the end zone since Week 9. The good news is that Otton does have a plus matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders this weekend. However, Otton had a strong matchup last week and only finished with 20 yards. Fantasy managers should consider Otton as a TE2 for Week 14.
