Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said he expects rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey (knee) to practice on Wednesday. This is certainly excellent news for fantasy managers after a report surfaced earlier on Wednesday that McConkey's status for Week 14 on Sunday night against the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs was in question after he injured his knee late in Sunday's win over the Atlanta Falcons. Before injuring his knee in Week 13, the 23-year-old second-round wideout was LA's offense, going for nine catches on 12 targets for 117 yards on the day. The fact that the Georgia product is set to practice on Wednesday is a great sign, but we'll keep a close eye on his status the rest of the week. If McConkey is active on Sunday evening, he'll be a must-start for fantasy managers as quarterback Justin Herbert's go-to target through the air.

He is having a terrific rookie season so far, with 58 catches on 81 targets for 815 yards and four touchdowns over 12 games. It's unclear whether McConkey will suit up against the Chiefs and is considered day-to-day. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor McConkey's practice status throughout the week. If McConkey is unable to suit up, Quentin Johnston, DJ Chark, and Joshua Palmer should see an increase in target shares.

The former 1,000-yard receiver has reportedly struggled to make an impact with his fourth NFL team and is unlikely to see an upgrade in his role down the stretch. Chark was a second-round pick by the Jaguars in 2018 and has recorded at least 500 yards in each season of his career in which he played at least five games. However, any deep-league fantasy managers holding onto him can let him go, though he might be worth holding in dynasty setups since he will be a 28-year-old free agent this offseason.

The Atlanta Falcons defense held the Chargers to just 17 points, the fewest amount of points they've held an opponent to all season, but they still lost the game as the offense could only produce 13 points. They were able to limit Los Angeles due in part to the five sacks that were recorded on the day. It was an impressive performance as the team came into the week with only 10 sacks on the season. Linebacker Arnold Ebiketie led the way with two of the five sacks. The defense also recovered a fumble, making them one of the top 10 defenses this week in terms of fantasy scoring. While next week's matchup against the Vikings may not be favorable, the Falcons have two solid matchups during the fantasy playoffs against the Raiders and the Giants that could make them an intriguing streaming option.
