Jared Goff Throws Two Picks, Another Average Performance In Sunday's Loss

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff completed 34 of 55 pass attempts for 307 yards and two interceptions in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He did not throw a touchdown during Sunday's loss. Goff has now had two average games to start the 2024 season. The 29-year-old is considered a low-end QB2 if he doesn't pick it up soon. After struggling against the Los Angeles Rams and an average Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense, the former No. 1 overall pick will look to bounce back against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Believed To Have Lower-Body Injury

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (undisclosed) was injured late in the Week 2 loss to the Buccaneers. There hasn't been much information released about the ailment. While head coach Dan Campbell doesn't think it is serious, St. Brown is believed to have sustained a "lower-body injury." Without question, fantasy managers will anxiously await an update. But if the wideout isn't available in Week 3 against the Cardinals, Jameson Williams, Kalif Raymond, and Sam LaPorta would presumably see an uptick in attention from Jared Goff.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Not Believed To Have Serious Injury

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (undisclosed) is not believed to have a serious injury. St. Brown was injured in the fourth quarter of the Lions' Week 2 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The injury visibly hampered St. Brown at the end of the game and eventually forced him off the field. St. Brown had a monster day prior to the injury. He recorded 11 receptions for 119 yards. If St. Brown is forced to miss any time, then wide receiver Jameson Williams, running back Jahmyr Gibbs, and tight end Sam LaPorta would all see increased target shares. For now, fantasy managers can only wait for news on initial testing and practice participation as we head into Week 3.

Jameson Williams Suiting Up In Week 2

Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams (ankle) is officially active for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He had been listed as questionable after practicing in a limited capacity on Friday, but as the weekend progressed, it became clear that he was healthy enough to suit up. Williams is looking to build off a huge Week 1 showing in which he led the team with five catches, 121 yards, and one touchdown. We need to see this type of production on a more consistent basis before ranking Williams as a must-start fantasy weapon, but he's certainly worth consideration in most leagues with 10 or more teams. If he can produce alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta, he has league-winning upside. For Week 2, he should be deployed as a mid-to-high WR3 option.

Jameson Williams Will Play In Week 2

Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams (ankle) is currently listed as questionable ahead of the Week 2 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite that, Williams will reportedly suit up and play on Sunday. This is great news for the Lions offense after Williams went off for five receptions and 121 yards with a touchdown in the Week 1 win. He should once again be heavily involved against a shaky Bucs secondary this weekend. Fantasy managers should be able to trust Williams as a low-end WR2 for what looks like a shootout with the Bucs.
