Jahmyr Gibbs Remains An Elite Option

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs had plenty of success on the ground versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. The young back rushed 13 times for 84 yards all hauled in all seven of his targets for 22 yards in the loss. The Lions have made it clear early in the season that they want to get Gibbs heavily involved in this offense. He should continue to have success against the Arizona Cardinals defense in Week 3. The versatility of Gibbs makes him such an intriguing weapon on offense. He should remain a strong RB1 for Week 3.

Jared Goff Looks To Bounce Back

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff threw for over 300 yards, but still ended up having a bad performance last week. Goff was airing it out as he completed 34-of-55 passing attempts, but he threw zero touchdowns and two interceptions in the loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Goff has 524 passing yards through two games as he heads into a favorable matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. A defensive unit that has struggled to contain the pass. Despite that, Goff hasn't done enough to be considered anything more than a QB2 heading into this game.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Practices Fully On Wednesday

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (quadriceps) was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. St. Brown injured his leg during the Lions' Week 2 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The injury was never considered serious, and it is great to see that St. Brown should not carry any question marks into the weekend. St. Brown has 14 receptions for 132 yards thus far this season. The Lions' passing offense has struggled to fully get going after an incredible 2023 season. With St. Brown not slated to miss any time, hopefully the passing offense can get back on track this weekend.

Lions Think Amon-Ra St. Brown Will "Be Good"

When Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell was asked about wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown's (lower body) injury, he said, "Lower leg. He'll be good. Soft tissue." It's unclear exactly what kind of injury St. Brown is dealing with, but we'll have a clearer picture on Wednesday, the first day of Week 3 practice. The 24-year-old was forced from action at the end of the Week 2 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fourth quarter. Before the injury, St. Brown bounced back in a big way from his quiet season-opening performance with a 11-119-0 line on 19 targets after catching three passes for 13 yards in Week 1. It sounds like the Lions think he'll have a good shot to play in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals, but we'll know more later this week. When active, St. Brown is a must-start in fantasy after being taken in the first round in most drafts.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Initially Determined To Have Minor Issues

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (lower body) was seen hobbling for a bit in Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. According to Adam Schefter, his sources have said that it was initially determined to be a contusion and cramping in his lower body. There hasn't been a specific area reported, but the fact that they seem to be minor injuries is a sigh of relief for everyone involved. The superstar wideout finished Sunday's game with 11 receptions for 119 yards, a big bounce back after just three catches for 13 yards in Week 1. His injury status will be important to monitor as the week goes on to make sure nothing is lingering as the Week 3 contest with the Arizona Cardinals approaches.
