Chiefs Sign Anthony Miller To Futures Deal

The Kansas City Chiefs signed free-agent wide receiver Anthony Miller to a Reserve/Futures deal on Wednesday. Miller will be a long shot to return to NFL action with Kansas City. The 29-year-old has not appeared in an NFL game since 2021, when he had just six catches on 12 targets for 25 yards and one touchdown in three games with the Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers. Miller was taken in the second round of the 2018 draft out of Memphis and had seven touchdown receptions in his rookie season, but after that it was all downhill. He caught 101 passes for 1,141 yards and four touchdowns in 2019 and 2020 before jumping around the NFL with several different teams. Miller will be competing for a roster spot with the Chiefs in training camp and the preseason.

Mark Andrews Puts In Full Practice

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (ankle) was a full participant in the team's first practice of the week on Wednesday. Andrews hasn't played since Week 11, when he fractured his fibula and suffered ligament damage to his ankle. The 28-year-old was close to playing in the Divisional Round against the Houston Texans, but the Ravens ultimately decided to hold him out for one more week. As long as he doesn't have a setback later this week, Andrews is fully expected to be activated from Injured Reserve and play in the AFC Championship on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Andrews has been quarterback Lamar Jackson's top aerial target when healthy, but it's unclear how often Andrews will be on the field. There's a good chance he's rather limited, and the possibility of Isaiah Likely taking valuable targets away will make him a big gamble in DFS lineups.

Tylan Wallace Remains Absent On Wednesday

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Tylan Wallace (knee) is not practicing on Wednesday to begin prep for the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Wallace was held out of practice last week due to a knee injury and did not suit up for the Divisional Round win over the Houston Texans. However, Devin Duvernay was activated from the Injured Reserve list and handled return duties for Baltimore. With Duvernay back, Wallace's role would be minor if he is active on Sunday, so he's not on the fantasy radar, and his presence in the lineup would not affect any other Ravens' pass-catchers.

Mark Andrews Expected To Play In AFC Title Game

Baltimore Ravens Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews (ankle) remains on Injured Reserve, has not played since Week 11, and didn't play in the Divisional Round win over the Houston Texans, but he's expected to play this Sunday in the AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Andrews is attempting to make his return after cracking his fibula and suffering ligament damage to his ankle back in Week 11, so it remains to be seen how much he'll actually see the field if he's officially activated from Injured Reserve and cleared to play against the Chiefs later this week. There's a good chance that both Andrews and Isaiah Likely are both involved in the passing attack, making them both more unlikely to pay off for those setting DFS lineups this weekend.

Ravens Non-Committal On Mark Andrews' Status

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (ankle) was designated to return from Injured Reserve on Friday, January 12, but he did not suit up to face the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round on Saturday. Despite being a full participant at practice on Wednesday and Thursday, the 28-year-old was listed as questionable and was held out. Since it seems he was close to playing, the belief is that he could be back to face the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday. However, head coach John Harbaugh was non-committal on his status on Monday. "We'll just see how it goes," Harbaugh said. "If he's ready to play, he'll play." It sounds like DFS gamers will have to wait a little longer to see if the Pro Bowler will hit the playing field for the first time since Week 11. If he's active, he'll be firmly on the fantasy radar, and Isaiah Likely will be a downgraded DFS option.
