Los Angeles Clippers guards James Harden and Paul George are both looking for a new contract this coming summer and it seems that the team will be doing their best to keep them around. According to Howard Beck of The Ringer, after the Clippers invested $2 billion into a new arena, they'll be trying to keep around their core regardless of their postseason success this year. Harden and George play a huge part in keeping the Clippers relevant, and they already signed Kawhi Leonard to a new contract as well. So, while other superstars are expected to test the market, the Clippers should look pretty similar to how the roster has shaken out so far.
Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George (groin) is not spotted on the injury report ahead of Monday's contest against the Atlanta Hawks. This is worth noting because Monday is the second night of a back-to-back for the Clippers, and George had to miss last Wednesday's victory over the Washington Wizards due to soreness in his left groin. It's been a struggle shooting the ball for PG-13 over his last seven games, averaging 16.1 points on 40.0% shooting from the floor, 5.1 rebounds, 2.0 three-pointers, and 1.4 steals. In a matchup against a Hawks squad bleeding the second-most points per game (123.4) this season, however, George finds himself in a prime get-right spot on Monday.
Los Angeles Clippers guard Paul George (groin) isn't listed on the league's injury report ahead of Friday's game versus Detroit. The veteran has been battling a groin injury, although it finally kept him out of the lineup for Wednesday's meeting with the Washington Wizards. As expected, Kawhi Leonard and James Harden were more involved offensively. Although George's presence should mean fewer scoring chances for Leonard and Harden on Friday night, both should remain starting in all fantasy lineups. On the other hand, Amir Coffey and Brandon Boston Jr., combining for 29 points against Washington, shouldn't be as impactful with George back in the lineup.
Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George (groin) is out for Wednesday's tilt against the Washington Wizards. George will sit out the fourth game of the Clippers' seven-game East Coast swing due to soreness in his left groin, with his next chance to suit up arriving on Friday against the Detroit Pistons. L.A.'s offense will run through James Harden and Kawhi Leonard in a mouthwatering matchup versus Washington, and Amir Coffey will replace George in the starting five. In both of his two outings without George in 2023-24, Coffey has notched double scoring figures, at least four rebounds, and multiple three-pointers and makes for a decent streaming option in fantasy for points and triples. Norman Powell has also delivered 21 points in each of his two games sans George.
Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George (groin) is questionable ahead of Saturday's game against the Boston Celtics. The veteran has been managing a groin injury and carried the same designation before Friday's win over the Toronto Raptors. However, he was on the floor, ending the night with 21 points, two blocks, and a steal. George logged just 28 minutes, which will help his chances of being active versus the Celtics. But if he doesn't suit up, Russell Westbrook, Norman Powell, and Kawhi Leonard could benefit from a statistical perspective.
