According to the Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey, the 76ers are hoping to bring back forward Nicolas Batum. The veteran was traded to Philadelphia early in the 2023-24 campaign after spending three seasons with the Clippers. He appeared in 57 games for the Sixers last season. While Batum was a welcome addition to the roster, he played well enough in his 38 starts by averaging 5.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists. The Sixers hold his Bird Rights, so it's possible he could remain with the franchise. However, Batum likely won't be a consistent fantasy option anytime soon, although he has streaming potential when given extra minutes.
Philadelphia 76ers forward Nicolas Batum (foot) has been ruled out for Friday's meeting with New Orleans. He has been downgraded from a questionable status. Batum comes out of the lineup right after getting a new look in the starting unit against Memphis on Wednesday. His absence could give a starter's role back to Kelly Oubre Jr., while Kenyon Martin Jr. might also have a larger role. Oubre Jr. is enjoying a good season in Philadelphia and could be ready for a massive night offensively on Friday, with Joel Embiid (knee) and Tyrese Maxey (concussion) out of the lineup.
Philadelphia 76ers forward Nicolas Batum (foot) is uncertain to suit up for Friday's game against the visiting Pelicans. The 35-year-old has been heavily involved of late, logging 30 minutes in four games in March. But he's dealing with foot soreness, and considering his history, fantasy managers should begin planning accordingly. If Batum is ruled out, Kenyon Martin Jr. might see more action. However, he'd be a risky option in any fantasy format.
Philadelphia 76ers forward Nicolas Batum (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Cavaliers. The 35-year-old played 18 minutes and didn't attempt a shot in the team's 110-96 loss to the Knicks on Thursday. If Batum is sidelined, KJ Martin could see increased playing time. The Sixers may choose to exercise caution on the second night of a back-to-back and rest the veteran. Batum is averaging 5.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 25.3 minutes per game this season.
Philadelphia 76ers forward Nicolas Batum (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Knicks at home. The 35-year-old hasn't played since January 29th, but he participated in practice before the All-Star break and again on Wednesday without any limitations. Head coach Nick Nurse suggested the veteran is probable to make his return, barring any setbacks during pregame warmups. Batum holds averages of 5.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 25.5 minutes per game this season.
