Toronto Raptors guard/forward Gary Trent Jr. (back) won't feature against the Timberwolves on Wednesday. After resting on Tuesday against the Lakers, Trent Jr. was initially expected to play but back spasms will keep him out from the contest. Following his return on Tuesday, RJ Barrett (knee) will get the night off, along with Kelly Olynyk (rest), so Immanuel Quickley should feature very heavily on offense for the team. Javon Freeman-Liberty, Gradey Dick, and Jordan Nwora will also have a chance to shine.
Toronto Raptors guard/forward Gary Trent Jr. (rest) will get the night off on Tuesday against the Lakers. He'll be in street clothes as the team kicks off a back-to-back. With the Raptors' lineup very thin lately, Trent Jr. has been one of the squad's top scoring options. He averaged 20.8 points per game through March with 17.3 shot attempts. Immanuel Quickley (conditioning) and RJ Barrett (conditioning) appear ready to take over the baton offensively on Tuesday, with both players regarded as probable for the contest. Trent Jr. should hop back into the lineup on Wednesday versus Minnesota.
Toronto Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. (back) is expected to suit up against the Wizards. He was a late addition to Friday's injury report and ultimately was ruled out heading into the Raptors' loss to Oklahoma City. Javon Freeman-Liberty moved into the starting lineup, with the rookie finishing with 10 points, the second double-digit scoring performance of his brief career. Once again, Toronto won't have RJ Barrett (personal) and Immanuel Quickley (personal), meaning Trent, averaging nearly 17 shot attempts in his previous eight appearances, should remain heavily involved, assuming he gets the green light. Unfortunately, Trent's anticipated return may limit the ceiling of Gradey Dick, who scored 21 points on Friday evening.
Toronto Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. (back) has unexpectedly popped up on the injury report on Friday afternoon and is now considered questionable for their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He's listed with lower back stiffness and the Raptors are only competing for the number-one pick in the NBA Draft, so they're not going to force Trent to play if he's not 100% healthy. If he's downgraded to out, which seems more likely with this late of an injury report, that would mean all five starters are out for this game. Jahmi'us Ramsey would likely move into the starting five along with Bruce Brown and Gradey Dick. All three could be considered streaming options, but they'll have an uphill battle against a playoff contending Thunder team.
Toronto Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. (groin) is available ahead of Friday's game against the Detroit Pistons. Trent is back in the mix following a two-game absence due to a right groin strain. The expectation is that Trent will move back into the starting five, which should shift Gradey Dick to the second unit. However, Dick is still worth holding in deep leagues for the moment. Trent is likely to see a bigger role on offense with RJ Barrett (personal) away from the team for some time.
