Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI, and two runs scored in Saturday's 11-3 victory over the Angels. Harris hit leadoff for the Braves and has collected a hit in each of the four games he's played since coming off of the IL, going 6-for-19 (.316) with a double, a home run, six RBI, and three runs scored. On the downside, the 23-year-old has yet to draw a walk in any of those four games and has struck out six times. Still, he's technically riding a nine-game hit streak that extends back prior to hitting the IL and he'll likely continue to hit out of the leadoff spot at least until Jorge Soler returns.
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II made a grand return from the injured list in Wednesday night's beatdown of the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park and will start in center field and bat leadoff in Thursday's series finale against right-hander Logan Webb with Jorge Soler (hamstring) sitting out. Harris had just one hit in five at-bats in his long-awaited return from a hamstring injury on Wednesday, but the one hit was a first-inning grand slam that landed in McCovey Cove, and he drove in a total of five runs on the night. The 23-year-old faces a difficult matchup against Webb in his second game back from the injured list, but he's more attractive from a DFS perspective in the leadoff spot and has hit .625 with a homer and two RBI in eight career at-bats against Webb.
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II wasted no time in making his presence felt in the lineup when he came off the injured list on Wednesday, blasting a 423-foot grand slam in the first inning of Wednesday's 13-2 win over the Giants on the second pitch he saw, sending it splashing into McCovey Cove. The 23-year-old added another RBI later, although the home run was his lone hit of the game, finishing the day 1-for-5 with five RBI and a run scored. The former Rookie of the Year began the year hot, slashing .304/.339/.452 with five stolen bases over the first month, but went ice-cold before hitting the IL in mid-June. However, Harris was swinging a hot bat on his rehab assignment, plus he's a career .333 hitter in August and .298 in September, albeit a small sample size, so look for him to finish strong.
Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker confirmed on Monday that outfielder Michael Harris II (hamstring) will be activated from the 60-day injured list on Wednesday. Harris will make his long-awaited return to the Braves' big-league roster after being sidelined since June 15 due to a left-hamstring strain. The 23-year-old could be eased into duties in center field upon his return, but by the end of the season, he should regain starting center-field duties. If Harris is floating around your league's waiver wire, scoop him up immediately. The former third-round pick in 2019 was hitting just .250 (65-for-260) with five homers, 20 RBI and eight steals in 67 games before his injury, but Harris slashed .293/.331/.477 with an .808 OPS, 18 homers and 20 steals in 2023. His return is going to push the left-handed-hitting Jarred Kelenic back into a platoon role in a corner-outfield spot.
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II (hamstring) will start a rehab assignment on Tuesday night at Triple-A Gwinnett, the Braves announced. Harris has been on the IL since June 15 with a strained left hamstring. He hit .250 with five homers, 20 RBI, and eight stolen bases this season for the Braves in 67 games before the injury. He will likely need a few games at Gwinnett to ramp up but this is very good news for fantasy managers as well as the Braves. If Harris was cut loose in fantasy leagues, it would be wise to scoop him up for the stretch run.
