Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. literally fell just shy of the 2024 Home Run Derby championship Monday in Globe Life Field. The 24-year-old faced Teoscar Hernandez in the final round and needed 14 long balls to tie. With 13 tallied, Witt Jr.'s final swing hit off the left-center wall, making him just short of tying things up. Regardless of the outcome, it was a strong showing for the first-time All-Star. Witt Jr. was even better than fantasy managers expected in the first half of the season, providing everything with a .323/.369/.558 slash line, 16 HR, 75 runs scored, 63 RBI, and 22 stolen bases in 425 plate appearances.
Kansas City Royals shortstop continued his monstrous run on Sunday, going 3-for-5 with a double, a homer, two runs scored, and three RBI. Witt Jr. went deep in the ninth with the game already out of reach to boost up his stats a little more, something his fantasy owners won't mind at all. The 24-year-old has been on an absolute tear of late, going 15-for-28 with nine runs, three homers, and eight RBI in his last six games. The MVP candidate has a strong chance to go 30/30 again this year, and he will have much stronger run, RBI, and AVG totals to go with it this time around. He might be the best player in fantasy baseball and is undoubtedly in the top five.
Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. put together a big performance in Thursday's loss versus the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday. Witt went 3-for-4 on the day with a pair of RBI and a solo home run. He was also caught stealing in the contest. Witt continues to be one of the best players in all of baseball and managers that drafted the young shortstop early must be thrilled with the results thus far. For the season, the 24-year-old is now hitting .319 with 14 homers, 58 RBI and 22 stolen bases. As one of the best all-around players in the sport, managers should continue to be happy rostering the superstar.
Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. was 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI during Thursday's 7-6 loss to the Minnesota Twins. Witt has been extra productive at the plate lately as he has 19 RBI over his last 15 games. The 23-year-old is undoubtedly one of the best players in all of baseball. He is slashing .309/.363/.548 with nine homers, 40 RBI, 49 runs scored and 16 stolen bases in 2024. Continue to roll him out with confidence on a daily basis if you are lucky enough to own him.
Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. continued his strong season with a big performance in Tuesday's victory against the division-rival Detroit Tigers. Witt went 3-for-4 with three runs scored, two homers and six RBI. He also stole his 16th base of the season in the contest. His first home run was a big three-run blast in the bottom of the second inning, and he then followed that up with a solo shot in the bottom of the sixth inning for good measure. The superstar shortstop now has a mini five-game hitting streak going and continues to be one of the top fantasy producers across the board. For the season, Witt is hitting .304 with seven homers and 31 RBI.
