Los Angeles Dodgers rookie outfielder Andy Pages smashed two homers on Friday night en route to going 3-for-4 at the plate in the Dodgers' 12-6 loss to the New York Mets in Game 5 of the National League Division Series. Pages collected four RBI and scored three runs in his big night, though it wasn't enough to overcome the Mets' offensive outburst. Pages has generally been used by the Dodgers in a platoon role against lefties and is now hitting for a 1.047 OPS in 14 at-bats this postseason. He'll likely be in Los Angeles' lineup on Sunday in Game 6 with lefty Sean Manaea expected to be on the hill for New York. Pages went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts in Manaea's start in Game 2. DFS managers can look at Pages as a cheap option for their lineup but shouldn't expect a ton given Manaea's effectiveness after the All-Star break.
Los Angeles Dodgers rookie outfielder Andy Pages will start in center field and bat out of the nine-hole for Game 5 of the National League Championship Series on Friday at Citi Field against the New York Mets and left-hander David Peterson. Pages also got the start in the Game 4 win on Thursday and went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in the 10-2 victory. In his first six playoff appearances for the Dodgers this year, Pages has just one single in 11 plate appearances with four strikeouts and a hit-by-pitch. He faced Peterson twice during the regular season and had a single and an RBI. The 23-year-old Cuban outfielder went 35-for-98 (.357) with three of his 13 home runs during the regular season against left-handed pitchers, perhaps making him a DFS sleeper worth looking at on Friday.
Los Angeles Dodgers rookie outfielder Andy Pages is starting in center field and is batting out of the nine-hole for the Dodgers on Monday in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series against the New York Mets and left-hander Sean Manaea. With Gavin Lux (hip) sitting out, Enrique Hernandez moves to second base, opening up a spot for Pages to make his first career postseason start. In four appearances in this year's playoffs, Pages has gone hitless in his two plate appearances with a strikeout and a run scored. Pages only has faced Manaea twice this year and has a double and a strikeout. The 23-year-old won't have much DFS appeal for Monday's slate while hitting at the bottom of LA's batting order. In his first MLB season, the Cuban outfielder slashed .248/.305/.407 with a .712 OPS, 13 home runs, 46 RBI and 65 runs scored in 116 games and 443 plate appearances.
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andy Pages will be recalled by the team on Sunday when rosters expand. The rookie has been in Triple-A for the last two weeks. On the season, Pages has hit .246 with nine home runs, 36 RBI, one stolen base and 54 runs scored in 394 plate appearances. It's hard to see much playing time for the 23-year-old Pages, with Tommy Edman and Mookie Betts now healthy and playing daily. Pages will likely be bench depth and a late-inning defensive replacement for the Dodgers down the stretch.
The Los Angeles Dodgers optioned rookie outfielder Andy Pages to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday to help make room for third baseman Max Muncy (oblique) and infielder/outfielder Tommy Edman (ankle, wrist), who both came off the 60-day injured list. Pages is expected to be recalled in two weeks when rosters expand for the final month of the regular season. The 23-year-old certainly held his own with the Dodgers after making his major-league debut earlier this year, batting .246 (88-for-358) with nine home runs, 36 RBI and 54 runs scored in his 98 games played, but as long as the Dodgers outfielders stay healthy for the rest of the season, the Cuban outfielder probably won't be much more than a bench bat for the stacked Dodgers the rest of the way. Since the All-Star break, Pages also hit just .200 (14-for-70) with a homer, seven doubles, 10 RBI and 22 K's in 21 games played.
