Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs (hand) finds himself on the team's first official injury report on Tuesday and he was listed as a limited practice participant leading up to Friday's Week 1 regular-season opener in Brazil against the Philadelphia Eagles. Doubs is dealing with a hand contusion and is considered day-to-day, but it shouldn't impact his availability at all in the season opener. The 24-year-old has plenty of talent but was merely a late-round flier for receiver depth in most fantasy drafts because of Green Bay's crowded receiving corps that also includes Christian Watson, Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks. Don't sleep on Doubs, though, as he could emerge as one of the team's most productive pass-catchers after scoring eight times on 59 receptions for 674 yards during the regular season. Treat him as a WR5/flex in deeper fantasy leagues in Week 1 this Friday.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs "has had the most consistently good showing so far and has separated himself as Jordan Love's go-to guy in any situation," according to Dan Graziano of ESPN.com. It's been challenging to decipher reports about the Packers' wide receiver corps this offseason, but Graziano seems convinced that Doubs has emerged as Green Bay's top option. He even noted that Doubs should be the preferred Packers wide receiver in fantasy football leagues. That goes against the trends we've seen recently in Yahoo ADP, which has Jayden Reed being drafted as WR36, Christian Watson as WR41, and Doubs as WR56. That puts Doubs just one slot ahead of Dontayvion Wicks (WR57). Of course, the Packers' depth chart will continue to take shape over the next few weeks, so we should have more clarity on Doubs and his teammates by Week 1 of the regular season. In the meantime, though, it sounds like he might be a steal in the 11th round of fantasy drafts.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs reportedly had a "fantastic" Spring earlier this offseason, and he has been a standout performer during training camp. The 2022 fourth-round pick has tallied 101 receptions for 1,099 yards and 11 touchdowns through his first 30 NFL games, and he posted an incredible 151-yard performance in his first postseason game last January. He often gets overlooked in the crowded Green Bay receiver room, but all signs point toward him remaining a key target for quarterback Jordan Love. "It has been really cool watching Romeo over these last three seasons; the steps he makes every single year," offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich said. "His route-running right now has been pretty tremendous. He's always had super-strong hands but the routes that he's putting on tape right now are pretty impressive and he ended the season last year, the last half of the season, he was playing at a pretty high level. He's really continued that in camp so far." Doubs has an average best-ball ADP around the 106 slot, while teammates Jayden Reed and Christian Watson come off the board well before him. If Green Bay's offense takes another step forward in 2024, Doubs could be a tremendous middle or late-round value heading into his third NFL campaign.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs has had an "outstanding" offseason, according to head coach Matt LaFleur. The 2022 fourth-round pick hauled in 59 passes for 674 yards and eight touchdowns last season, and he delivered a six-catch, 151-yard, one-touchdown performance in the Wild Card win over the Dallas Cowboys. The 24-year-old should remain one of Jordan Love's favorite targets in 2024, though the team's pass-catching group is crowded with Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, Luke Musgrave, and Tucker Kraft. Given the uncertainty of the target pecking order, all of the Green Bay receivers and tight ends have an ADP outside the top 70 picks, and Doubs presents a potential value pick at his 138.4 ADP in classic FFPC drafts.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs caught four of six targets for 83 yards during the team's 21-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. After an up-and-down regular season, the second-year receiver showed up in the playoffs, gaining 234 yards on 10 receptions and being a favorite target for quarterback Jordan Love. The Packers have a number of impressive rookie wide receivers that showed up this season and plenty of mouths to feed around the entire offense, including 2022 first-round draft selection Christian Watson. Doubs will always face stiff competition for targets, but it speaks volumes that when everyone was healthy during this playoff run, he was one of his quarterback's favorite targets.
