According to NFL insider Jay Glazer, Chicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen (heel) is on the "doubtful side" for Sunday's game against the Texans. The veteran wideout was classified as a game-time decision. However, it appears the Bears will be without Allen, who caught just 4 of 11 targets for 29 yards in Week 1. With Rome Odunze (knee) also in danger of missing the Week 2 festivities, DJ Moore and Cole Kmet could see more attention from Caleb Williams. There's also potential for Velus Jones Jr. and DeAndre Carter to get more involved. Yet, Jones or Carter shouldn't be viewed as anything more than a desperation addition to any fantasy lineup.

If they are both inactive, DeAndre Carter would figure to earn more snaps, but he'd remain off the radar. As of Sunday morning, Schefter notes that Odunze is trending toward playing while Allen will test his injury pregame and could be limited even if he does play.

Allen was sidelined during Thursday's practice and could be in danger of missing Sunday's game if he doesn't have successful practice on Friday. The 32-year-old was on the injury report all week prior to their season opener but was able to suit up. In that game, Allen saw a hefty 37.9% of the team's targets and was targeted on an impressive 47.8% of the routes he ran. If Allen does suit up for Sunday's game, he should present a solid floor in PPR formats, making him a safe WR2. However, if Allen were to be limited or miss Sunday's game, DJ Moore should see an uptick in targets and potentially tight end Cole Kmet, who saw just one pass come his way in the opener.

Allen tweaked a heel injury that he also dealt with in training camp in August in the Week 1 season-opening victory over the Tennessee Titans and even went into the medical tent on the sideline to be checked, but he eventually returned to the field and finished out the game. In addition to Allen, rookie Rome Odunze's (knee) is dealing with an MCL sprain and may not be able to play in Week 2 at the Houston Texans. The 32-year-old Allen's status should be closely monitored the next few days. If both he and Odunze are unable to play against the Texans, DJ Moore will see as many targets as he can handle, with tight end Cole Kmet also see a sizeable uptick in targets from rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.
