The Green Bay Packers and quarterback Jordan Love are expected to re-engage in contract extension talks during the offseason, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The 25-year-old has drastically exceeded expectations in his first season as the Packers' starter, leading them to the Divisional Round of the playoffs while completing 64.2 percent of his passes for 4,159 yards, 36 total touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He will presumably increase his asking price as the result of his big year, but Rapoport expects the two sides to reach an agreement anyway. As it currently stands, Love is under contract through 2024.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will go on the road to take on the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs on Saturday. The 25-year-old was steller against the Cowboys last week, putting up 272 yards and three touchdowns against a team that was undefeated at home in 15 straight games. Love now heads into San Francisco to face a defense that has given up the eighth-fewest total fantasy points to quarterbacks this past regular season. Dallas was ranked ninth, so there is no reason that Love can't succeed for fantasy managers looking to take the shot on him in DFS lineups. All of the first-year starters' skill position players are healthy outside of AJ Dillon (neck, thumb), who is listed as questionable. Love will be a popular option in DFS tournaments due to his late-season success.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love completed 16 of 21 passes for 272 yards and three touchdowns during the team's 48-32 win over the Dallas Cowboys. The 25-year-old posted nearly a perfect passer rating in his first postseason game, where his team was a heavy underdog. Love led the Packers to a score on six of the team's first seven drives of the game and completed difficult passes late to seal the win with the majority of the fourth quarter remaining. The Packers' offense is getting hot at the right time, and they will now travel to San Francisco to take on the 49ers. Love will be a hot commodity in DFS leagues next weekend.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will go on the road to take on the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the NFL playoffs. The 25-year-old ended the regular season on a tear, passing for 1,075 yards and nine touchdowns over the final four games. Love enters the weekend with nearly all of his weapons healthy for the first time in a long time. The only outlier is Christian Watson (hamstring), who is listed as questionable. With that said, the first-year starter has not needed everyone healthy to produce this season, and he will look to stay hot against a stiff Dallas defense. The Cowboys allowed the ninth-fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season, but Love is one of the cheaper options available in DFS on Sunday. He will be a sneaky pick during the first week of the playoffs.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love completed 27 of 32 passes for 316 yards and two touchdowns, adding three carries for a loss of one yard and losing a fumble during Sunday's 17-9 win over the Chicago Bears. The first-year starter threw for over 300 yards for the second time this season and propelled the Packers to a wild-card spot. Love found rookie wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks in the end zone twice. Love has been playing without multiple receivers all season long but has found a way to succeed both for fantasy and on the NFL field. He will be a popular target in daily fantasy formats next week when the Packers take on the Dallas Cowboys on the road.
