Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren is set to make his NFL postseason debut in a wild-card bout with the Buffalo Bills. Although Najee Harris has been leading the charge for Pittsburgh's running game as of late, Warren should see plenty of opportunities on Sunday as well. Extreme winter weather conditions are expected in Buffalo which could make things difficult for quarterback Mason Rudolph and the Steelers' passing attack. Warren should mix in with Harris frequently on the ground and additionally operate as a dependable check-down option. Fantasy managers can consider the second-year pro as a solid RB2 this weekend.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren finished with nine carries for 33 yards and five receptions for 17 yards on five targets in the team's 17-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Rainy weather conditions in Baltimore caused issues with ball security throughout the contest, and Warren himself fumbled twice with one resulting in a turnover. The second-year pro took a backseat to Najee Harris, who rushed for over 100 yards and found the end zone. Both backs were utilized through the air as Pittsburgh's offense largely operated close to the line of scrimmage. Warren's production was a surprise for fantasy managers this season, and his strong campaign could continue if the Steelers sneak into the playoffs.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren is fresh off of a stellar performance in Week 17 and will hope to have similar success against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday. While this contest is meaningless for the Ravens, who have already secured the top seed in the AFC, Pittsburgh can drastically increase its chances of a playoff berth with a victory. That said, Warren should continue to operate alongside Najee Harris as a change-of-pace back and pass-catching weapon against a defense that is likely to rest several starters. The Steelers' offense has been effective with Mason Rudolph under center, so fantasy managers should have confidence deploying Warren as a high-end flex option.
