Sutton had a catch apiece from quarterback Jarrett Stidham and rookie first-rounder Bo Nix. Coming off a career-best 10-touchdown season in 2023, Sutton is Denver's clear No. 1 wideout, especially with Jerry Jeudy no longer in town. The 28-year-old former second-round pick in 2018 out of SMU shouldn't lack for target volume in 2024, but he's due some serious touchdown regression and will be at the mercy of how efficient the Broncos' offense is under either Stidham or the rookie Nix. Sutton will have more fantasy upside as a WR4/flex if Nix is able to win the starting gig under center to begin the regular season.

Not only will Sutton be losing quarterback Russell Wilson, who he had developed considerable chemistry with, but he'll now be taking passes from either Jarrett Stidham or rookie Bo Nix in 2024. Volume shouldn't be the problem as Denver's unquestioned top pass-catcher, but efficiency probably will be, as well as some serious touchdown regression after he put up a career-high 10 scores. Sutton profiles as a low-upside WR4/flex in 2024.

Still, Sutton is Denver's clear-cut alpha target for whoever is under center this fall following Jerry Jeudy's offseason departure, and he should be treated as a volume-based WR3 in drafts this summer.

This is where I want to be, this is home, this is where I want to hoist the Lombardi trophy, this is where I want to retire.'' The 28-year-old is coming off a relatively modest 2024 campaign in which he caught 59 passes for 772 yards but did record a career-high 10 touchdowns. With Jerry Jeudy shipped off to Cleveland, Sutton is in line to operate as Denver's No. 1 wide receiver. However, a quarterback room featuring Bo Nix, Jarrett Stidham, and Zach Wilson leaves a lot to be desired. Inconsistent quarterback play could keep Sutton in the WR3 tier for fantasy football this year.

He's entering the third year of a four-year, $60.8 million extension that he signed back in 2021. Sutton has a $13 million salary in 2024 with only $2 million guaranteed. The 28-year-old wants a bigger contract after scoring a career-high 10 touchdowns in 2023. "You know we'll see, we'll see what happens," Sutton said when asked if he'll show up for training camp if his contract negotiations remain at a stalemate. Sutton will be the unquestioned WR1 in Denver now that Jerry Jeudy is gone, but the QB situation isn't ideal, and he will be facing major regression in the TD department in 2024.
