Allen Lazard A Healthy Scratch Again

New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard will fittingly end his first year with the team in the Week 18 regular season finale against the New England Patriots as a healthy scratch on Sunday. He was a full participant all week despite dealing with an illness and was removed from the final injury report on Friday, but he won't be active on Sunday. It is his second healthy scratch of the season and he'll finish with only 23 receptions for 311 yards and one touchdown in 14 games for the Jets. The 28-year-old former Green Bay Packer was brought in to serve as a reliable target for quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but that went out the window when Rodgers was lost for the year in Week 1 with a torn Achilles. With Lazard out on Sunday, Jason Brownlee and Xavier Gipson should continue to get more opportunities in the passing game behind No. 1 Garrett Wilson.

Tyrod Taylor Draws Another Shaky Secondary In Week 18

New York Giants quarterback Tyrod Taylor (back) is off of the injury report for Week 18, logging limited practices throughout the week. The veteran picks up his second consecutive start and fifth overall this season. In three of those starts, he's drawn some of the weakest secondaries in the NFL (Washington, Los Angeles, and now Philadelphia). In one half of action two weeks ago against the Eagles, Taylor threw for 133 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, which came on the final play of the game. He's also connected with Darius Slayton on long touchdowns in back-to-back games. Taylor is an interesting QB2 option in fantasy football and the matchup makes him a strong candidate for DFS lineups.

Greg Zuerlein Offers Little Upside Against Patriots

New York Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein made two of his three field goal attempts and converted on both of his extra-point tries in last week's loss to the Cleveland Browns. The 36-year-old's final showing of the season will come against the New England Patriots in Week 18. Although New England has been vulnerable to fantasy kickers this year, Sunday's contest is projected to be the lowest-scoring affair of the week. Back in Week 3, these division rivals combined for just 25 total points with Zuerlein attempting only one field goal and one extra point. Fantasy managers in need of a starting kicker this week should search for one in a better game environment than Zuerlein.

Tyler Conklin Should Be Avoided In Week 18

New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin has earned at least five targets in six consecutive games and should remain involved against the New England Patriots in his final matchup of the campaign. Unfortunately, the 28-year-old may struggle to do much with his opportunities on Sunday as New England has surrendered the second-fewest fantasy points to tight ends this year. Furthermore, the Patriots have allowed just two touchdowns to tight ends, so Conklin seems likely to finish the season with zero trips to the end zone. Fantasy managers would be wise to look elsewhere for a starting option in Week 18.

Garrett Wilson A Fantasy WR2 In Season Finale

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson has managed to turn in a productive campaign despite the team's quarterback woes. He'll hope to conclude his second professional season on a high note against the New England Patriots in Week 18. While the Patriots' defense has been formidable, it has given up a fair amount of fantasy production to receivers. This contest is not expected to feature much scoring but Wilson should get enough opportunities to remain a viable fantasy option. The 23-year-old has amassed 25 looks over the past two weeks with Trevor Siemian under center and thus can be viewed as a solid WR2 on Sunday.
