Kadarius Toney, Rashee Rice Not Practicing Thursday

Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers Kadarius Toney (hip) and Rashee Rice (hamstring) will not take part in the team's practice on Thursday. Toney returned to a limited practice on Wednesday, while Rice has now missed the first two practices of the week. With the Chiefs locked into the No. 3 seed in the AFC for the playoffs, they have already announced that they are resting star quarterback Patrick Mahomes and they could rest more players, especially injured ones like Toney and Rice. The 23-year-old Rice got off to a slow start in his first NFL season but has come on strong and has been a must-start fantasy wideout in the second half of the season. If he doesn't play in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Los Angeles Chargers, Rice will end up with 79 receptions for 938 yards and seven touchdowns. Receivers Justin Watson and Marquez Valdes-Scantling and others could be in line for big workloads if Rice and Toney are held out.

Dustin Hopkins Not Practicing Thursday

Cleveland Browns kicker Dustin Hopkins (hamstring) remained sidelined at practice on Thursday. Hopkins was forced to sit out on a short week in last Thursday night's win over the New York Jets and doesn't appear close to returning for a meaningless Week 18 regular season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday. The most likely scenario is that the Browns will rest the 33-year-old kicker and any other injured players like receiver Amari Cooper (heel) as they rest up for the wild-card round of the playoffs next week. Cleveland is already locked into the No. 5 seed in the AFC, so Hopkins is likely to miss a second straight game this weekend. If that's the case, Riley Patterson will do the kicking for the Browns in Week 18. Fantasy managers should look elsewhere for a kicker.

Amari Cooper Missing Another Practice

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (heel) is missing another day of practice on Thursday. Cooper set a franchise record with 265 receiving yards and two touchdowns in the Week 16 win over the Houston Texans and then missed last Thursday's win over the New York Jets due to a heel injury. The Browns are already locked into the No. 5 seed in the AFC for the playoffs, so even if Cooper is able to return to practice on Friday, it seems unlikely that they would risk a setback with his heel in a meaningless game against the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday. The Browns have already announced they'll be resting starting quarterback Joe Flacco. The 29-year-old is probably not going to be an option for anyone playing fantasy football in Week 18.

Kadarius Toney Trying To Return In Week 18

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney (ankle, hip) was able to return to the practice field on Wednesday on a limited basis. Toney has missed the last two games but could be getting healthy enough to suit up in this Sunday's Week 18 regular season finale against the Los Angeles Chargers. And with the Chiefs likely resting notable starters because they've already locked up the No. 3 seed in the AFC, there's a possibility that Toney could get some decent run in a fantastic matchup against LA this weekend. Still, the oft-injured former first-rounder would be a boom/bust DFS option if he returns to play against the Chargers with backup quarterback Blaine Gabbert running the offense. The 24-year-old Toney has been disappointing in his first full year with KC, catching 27 passes for 169 yards and one touchdown.

Elijah Moore Will Practice Wednesday

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol but he will take part in the team's practice on Wednesday. Moore still needs to pass through the league's concussion protocol later this week to be cleared to play in the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Moore suffered a concussion in last Thursday's win over the New York Jets. The 23-year-old is clearly making progress, but with Cleveland having already locked up the No. 5 seed for the playoffs, they seem likely to rest any injured players like Moore. Even if Moore plays, he probably wouldn't play the entire game and would be taking passes from quarterback Jeff Driskel. UPDATE: Moore was limited on Wednesday.
