Samori Toure Not Returning Anytime Soon

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that wide receiver Samori Toure (knee) initially injured his knee on a fumbled punt return and then hurt it again when he had to jump high for a pass from quarterback Jordan Love and cam down awkwardly on the same leg in the Week 17 win over the Minnesota Vikings. "He'll be down for a while," LaFleur said. The 25-year-old was placed on Injured Reserve on Wednesday and is unlikely to return this season, even if the Packers win in Week 18 against the Chicago Bears and advance to the postseason. He was spotted using crutches on Wednesday. Toure would be eligible to return only if Green Bay advances to the Super Bowl. The former seventh-rounder in 2022 wasn't anywhere near the fantasy radar this year, catching eight passes for 78 yards and no scores.

Keenan Allen Still Not Practicing

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen (heel) missed another practice session on Wednesday. All signs are pointing to Allen missing a meaningless Week 18 regular season finale against the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday. The 31-year-old has missed the last three games. Fantasy managers should have already come to the conclusion that they probably won't have him for Week 18 lineups. If he is inactive this weekend, Allen will finish the 2023 campaign as a top-five fantasy wideout with a career-high 108 receptions for 1,243 yards and seven touchdowns in 13 games played. It's the sixth time in his career that he's reached 1,000 receiving yards. The Bolts will continue to let rookie first-rounder Quentin Johnston get valuable playing time as a top target for quarterback Easton Stick, although Joshua Palmer (concussion) could be back in Week 18.

DJ Moore Logs Limited Practice To Begin Week 18

Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore (ankle) is listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury. The 2018 first-round pick is enjoying the best season of his career, compiling 92 receptions for 1,300 yards and eight touchdowns through 16 games. While there's no indication he'll miss the Week 18 game against the Green Bay Packers, the Bears could play it safe since they are already eliminated from playoff contention. Ultimately, fantasy managers and DFS gamers should monitor his practice status for the rest of the week. If he's active, he's a must-start fantasy option and will have plenty of upside in DFS tournaments this weekend.

Cole Kmet Won't Participate In Wednesday's Practice

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet (knee) will not practice on Wednesday. "They just need another day with the trainers to get ready...it's looking positive but we'll see where it is," head coach Matt Eberflus said. As long as Kmet is able to practice on Thursday or Friday, he should be available to play in the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. The 24-year-old played through his knee injury in the Week 17 win over the Atlanta Falcons but wasn't targeted at all. If he's able to play, Kmet should be able to bounce back against the Packers and will be on the fantasy radar as a low-end TE1 option for managers still playing for a championship. In Week 1 against the Packers, Kmet caught five of seven targets for 44 yards.

Packers Sign Bo Melton To The Active Roster, Samori Toure To IR

The Green Bay Packers signed wide receiver Bo Melton from the practice squad to their active 53-man roster on Monday and placed Samori Toure (knee) in a corresponding move. The team also signed safety Tyler Coyle to the practice squad. Green Bay is extremely thin at the receiver position heading into the Week 18 regular season finale against the Chicago Bears. Christian Watson (hamstring) and rookie Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) did not play in the Sunday night loss to the Minnesota Vikings, and rookie Jayden Reed (ribs) was injured during the game and is up in the air to play this Sunday. The 24-year-old Melton broke out with six catches for 105 yards and a touchdown against Minnesota and also had four grabs for 44 yards in the Week 16 win over the Carolina Panthers. If Watson, Wicks and Reed all miss Week 18, Melton will be a worthwhile streaming consideration in fantasy leagues.
