Los Angeles Clippers point guard Russell Westbrook (hand) is expected to be back in the lineup next week. Sources have told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski that Westbrook's return might even come as soon as Monday versus Indiana. The former MVP is recovering from a fractured hand suffered on March 1 in a matchup against Washington. Westbrook has been one of the most productive bench players in the league this season, putting up 11.1 points with 5.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists. There could be fireworks from Westbrook straight away in his first game back, as Indiana games are usually played at a very high pace and tend to be high-scoring affairs.
Los Angeles Clippers guard Russell Westbrook (hand) underwent hand surgery back on March 4 and there was initial hope that he would return before the playoffs started. Head coach Tyronn Lue gave an update on Sunday and said Westbrook was "continuing to improve," but there was still no timetable for his return. The former MVP last played on March 1 before hurting his hand. Before that, he didn't miss a single game and since then, the Clippers have been an even 4-4 while he's watched from the sidelines. Westbrook most likely won't be back for the fantasy playoffs, but there's still a chance he's back before the NBA Playoffs kick off.
Los Angeles Clippers guard Russell Westbrook (hand) underwent surgery on Monday. The 35-year-old fractured his left hand on Friday night versus the Washington Wizards. He's expected to make a complete recovery, and there is hope he'll be back before the postseason commences. Nonetheless, Westbrook is nowhere near the player he once was. He's averaged a career-low 11.1 points with 5.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.1 steals this season. As a result, fantasy managers can drop him from the roster.
Los Angeles Clippers point guard Russell Westbrook will be out indefinitely after fracturing his left hand in Friday's 140-115 win over Washington. The former MVP managed to log 10 minutes in the contest, registering six points and an assist with 2-for-3 shooting. Westbrook has been one of the most productive bench players in the league this season, averaging 11.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.4 assists with 1.1 steals. With Westbrook on the shelf, Bones Hyland looks set to re-enter the rotation. He made his first appearance since Jan. 31 on Friday, finishing with two points and seven assists in 16 minutes.
