New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge continued his dominant season in an 8-5 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday. Judge went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a walk but it wasn't enough in the loss to Toronto. It wasn't all bad news for the Yankees in the game, however, as Judge became the first player in MLB this season to reach 40 homers and 100 RBI. Judge is now the fourth player in Yankees history to hit at least 40 homers in three separate seasons, joining Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, and Lou Gehrig. Overall, Judge is batting .318 with 40 homers, 85 runs, 101 RBI, and five steals across 390 at-bats.
New York Yankees outfielder/designated hitter Aaron Judge continued his excellent offensive season in Monday's 14-4 win over the Phillies. Judge went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a two-run HR, and three strikeouts. The 32-year-old got things going with a solo HR in the first inning off of Zack Wheeler and then took Yunior Marte deep in the seventh inning. Judge's offensive performance has mirrored his 2022 output when he won the American League Most Valuable Player award. He is now slashing .315/.446/.696 with 39 HR, 83 runs scored, 99 RBI, and five stolen bases in 472 plate appearances. He hasn't run quite as much, but his overall performance is among the best in all of fantasy.
New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge blasted his 36th home run Friday night in a crazy back-and-forth affair against the division rival Boston Red Sox. Judge's homer was of the three-run variety, which traveled 470 feet and gave the Yankees a 6-4 lead in the seventh inning. Unfortunately for the Bombers, the bullpen gave it away as the Yankees ended up with a 9-7 loss versus their arch-nemesis. Despite the three-run home run this evening, the Red Sox have been doing a heck of a job shutting down the former MVP this season. Judge has two home runs and a .207 batting average in 29 at-bats against Boston in 2024. Nonetheless, Judge continues to obliterate the baseball every single night he steps into the batter's box. Overall, the Yankees slugger is slashing .306/.437/.672 with 36 home runs, 92 RBI, 77 runs, and five stolen bases over 455 plate appearances.
New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge smacked his league-leading 35th home run of the season and pitched in a single in a 6-4 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays Sunday afternoon. The home run was of the three-run variety which puts his 2024 total at an absurd 89 RBI sitting here with about two and a half months left of the regular season. After a brutal first month of the season Judge looks like the MVP version of himself that set the American League home run record just two seasons ago. It's only been three games, but he's already off to a hot start in the second half with a 4-for-10 line with one home run and four RBI and three walks. Juan Soto's presence in the lineup has eased the offensive burden on Judge's shoulders this season and he should have no problem running away the American League MVP this season barring any injuries or major slumps.
New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles. Judge blasted a mammoth 431-foot shot off Orioles pitcher Grayson Rodriguez in the top of the fifth inning. The 32-year-old set the franchise record by becoming the first Yankee to hit 34 home runs before an All-Star break. Roger Maris (33 in 1961) and Judge (33 in 2022) previously shared the franchise record. Judge is having a terrific first half of the season, slashing .308/.431/.683 with 34 home runs, 85 RBI, 73 runs, and five stolen bases over 95 games in 2024.
