We’ve now hit the portion of the college basketball schedule where the slates are light and filled with matchups between Power 5 opponents and weaker ones.
This means finding value can be hard at times. It’s also a time to remind the reader that you can take days off and don’t have to bet every day. However, let’s find a winner for Monday.
Arkansas State at Alabama
8 p.m. ET
Alabama -25
The Crimson Tide are 5-2 and coming off an 85-77 loss at home to Clemson. Alabama has one of the best offenses in the country, ranking 15th in 2pt% (58.4%) and 10th in 3pt% (40.7%). They are averaging 47.6 pts per first half at home. The Red Wolves have played two high-powered offenses on the road and gave up 56 in the first half to Wisconsin and 49 to Iowa. Not that I expect any sort of look-ahead after the loss, but Alabama is taking on Purdue Saturday in a more important game. I’m expecting a fast start from Alabama here, so we’ll isolate the first half.
The Pick
Alabama over 46.5 1st half pts
