New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr torched the Dallas defense in Week 2's 44-19 blowout win. Carr has been on fire to start the season, quarterbacking the team's hottest offense to an average of 45.5 points per game. Carr only had to throw 16 passes in the win, completing 11 for 243 yards and two touchdowns with an interception. He also rushed once for one yard. The veteran quarterback is now firmly in the streaming conversation as New Orleans gears up for next Sunday's game against Philadelphia.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr (illness) was ill on Sunday morning but will play against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, according to a note on NFL.com's official injury report tracker. Carr was added to the injury report Sunday but did not have any designation, which is a good sign that he won't have any limitations in Week 2. The quarterback faces a tough matchup in the form of the Dallas Cowboys, but he's coming off a big performance against the Panthers and figures to maintain some QB2 appeal this weekend. He's a fine option in deeper two-quarterback leagues.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr was unconscious in Week 1, completing 19-of-23 passes for three touchdowns. However, the veteran faces a much tougher opponent this week in a Dallas defense that shut down Cleveland in Week 1. The tough matchup makes it hard to consider Carr as a starting option even in two-quarterback formats. He should not be started in any one quarterback format this week. Carr and the Saints take on Dallas in the early slate on Sunday.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr picked up where he left off at the end of last season in Week 1's 47-10 win over Carolina. Carr completed 19-of-23 passes for 200 yards and three touchdowns, leading the team to an early 17-0 first-quarter lead. Carr's first touchdown on the day came on a 59-yard connection with receiver Rashid Shaheed, followed by a dart to Foster Moreau and a second-quarter touchdown throw to Juwan Johnson. His debut in new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak' system could not have gone much better. Carr will look to continue his hot start next Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, who also looked dominant in Week 1.
New Orleans Saints' quarterback Derek Carr finished as the QB16 overall last season after some impressive games down the stretch. To kick off 2024, he will face a Carolina defense that has many holes. The matchup still isn't beautiful, as both of these teams like to win through their defense and we could be faced with a lower-scoring game. Carr grades as a low-end QB2 in Week 1, as he has a safe floor but does not offer much of a ceiling. There are likely better options available in leagues where you can start multiple quarterbacks.
