Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Kutter Crawford tossed seven shutout frames on Saturday en route to earning his sixth victory of the campaign. He allowed just two hits and one free pass. He struck out four. This was his sixth consecutive quality start, as the 28-year-old has been on quite an impressive run as of late. In his previous start, he struck out seven across six frames of one-run ball. Through 112 innings this season, Crawford is on pace to have the best season of his career with a 3.04 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, and a 29:110 BB:K ratio. The right-hander remains a solid starting pitcher going forward in all formats, as he should continue to provide solid ratios in the second half of the summer.
Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Kutter Crawford was outstanding on Sunday Night Baseball, going seven shutout innings against the New York Yankees and picking up the win in a 3-0 victory. Crawford allowed just four hits and didn't walk a batter while striking out four. He was able to get through seven innings on just 68 pitches, but manager Alex Cora didn't want to take any risks against the Bo-Sox biggest rivals and put his best relief arms in to close it out. Crawford has now gone six or more innings in seven consecutive starts and has managed to do so with less than 90 pitches thrown in six of those. He might even be able to go further in games, but fantasy managers will take starts like these every time.
Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Kutter Crawford improved to 4-7 in Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Marlins. Crawford pitched six innings, allowing one run on three hits (including a solo home run) and no walks with seven strikeouts. Despite his record, the 28-year-old has had a great season, compiling a 3.42 ERA, a 9.36 K/9 rate, and a 2.70 BB/9 rate in 18 starts and 100 IP, half of which have been quality starts. Crawford is scheduled to face a tough matchup in his next start at the Yankees. Fantasy managers in weekly lineup leagues won't have a choice, but those in daily lineup leagues may consider sitting him in this matchup unless they don't have other options.
Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Kutter Crawford showed off his hit-and-miss stuff during Sunday's outing against the New York Yankees. The right-hander racked up nine strikeouts while allowing only three hits in the win. The 28-year-old gave up a home run to Aaron Judge during the opening frame, but Crawford settled down after that. He gave his team six innings of three-run ball which was good enough to get the victory. He'll take a 3.54 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and 88/26 K/BB ratio into his next start against the Cincinnati Reds.
Boston Red Sox right-hander Kutter Crawford allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six across six innings in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Atlanta Braves. He did not factor into the decision. Crawford pitched well most of the game and earned his fifth quality start of the season. His only mistake was surrendering a two-run blast to Jarred Kelenic in the bottom of the third inning. The 28-year-old was efficient on Tuesday, throwing 87 pitches and landing 58 for strikes. He owns a 1.75 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and a 46:15 K: BB across 46 1/3 innings in 2024. Crawford has now posted a quality start in five of his last eight outings and will look to continue his strong season in his next start on Monday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Fantasy managers should continue to start Crawford in all league formats.
