Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert and first baseman Andrew Vaughn are both out of the starting lineup on Monday against the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards. It appears to be a normal day of rest for both players to start a new week. Robert had started each of the team's last seven games. Zach DeLoach is drawing into the White Sox's lineup in right field and will bat sixth, while Gavin Sheets will handle first base and will bat cleanup against Orioles right-hander Corbin Burnes. Corey Julks is serving as the designated hitter and will bat in the two-hole. Sheets is probably the most attractive DFS sleeper for his power, but he hasn't recorded a hit in six career at-bats against Burnes. Robert has an attractive power/speed combination for fantasy managers (14 homers and 21 steals), but he's hitting just .219 (68-for-311) on the year and is on the worst team in baseball.

The 26-year-old was scratched ahead of Saturday's game due to an illness. Luckily it was a minor issue as Vaughn will play first base and bat cleanup against righty Simeon Woods Richardson. Fantasy managers who have Vaughn rostered can get him back in the lineup ahead of first pitch.

Gavin Sheets will get the nod at first base and will bat cleanup for the Pale Hose versus Guardians right-hander Ben Lively. Vaughn has been a below-average hitter for fantasy managers in his fourth year in the big leagues. He's batting .244 (75-for-308) with a career-low .696 OPS, 11 home runs, 41 RBI and 32 runs scored in 81 games played for the worst team in baseball. On the bright side, he's currently in the midst of a six-game hitting streak where he's gone 8-for-21 (.381) with two homers, two doubles and six RBI. Sheets is mostly useful for his power and is hitting .241 (52-for-216) with six of his seven homers coming off right-handers in 2024.

Chicago White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two RBI in Thursday's victory versus the Seattle Mariners. The homer was his second in three games for the first baseman that has been swinging a hot bat of late. Vaughn was pretty much invisible for much of the season, but he has been on fire of late with 15 hits over his last 41 at-bats to go along with four homers and six RBI. On the season, Vaughn is now hitting .227 with eight homers and 25 RBI. Vaughn makes for a fine add for managers looking for a hot bat to insert into their lineup, but long-term, Vaughn doesn't hold much value.

Chicago White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn had a nice game at the plate in Tuesday's Game 2, 4-0 win over the Nationals. Vaughn went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a three-run home run, and a walk. Despite the strong game, the 26-year-old has struggled offensively, slashing .211/.271/.329 with three homers and 13 RBI in 166 plate appearances. Hopefully, this performance can help get him going.
