The 34-year-old veteran will eventually need to make at least a couple minor-league rehab starts before being activated from the injured list, so it's likely that we won't see him again in Oakland's starting rotation until after the All-Star break in mid-July. It's hard to get behind Stripling in even deep-mixed fantasy leagues after he went 1-9 with a 5.82 ERA and 1.59 WHIP with a 35:12 K:BB in 55 2/3 innings over his first 11 starts this year in his first year with the A's. He's currently sporting a career-worst 13.9% strikeout rate.

Stripling currently leads the league with his nine losses and also leads the league with 77 hits allowed. Even if Stripling gets past his elbow issue and returns to Oakland's starting rotation, fantasy managers in mixed leagues should look elsewhere.
