Jackson Chourio Hits First Career Grand Slam

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio went 2-for-3 with a single and his first career grand slam in Friday's 4-2 win over the Cubs. The slam was all the scoring the Brewers would muster in the game but it proved to be enough to win it. It was also Chourio's ninth home run of the season and extended his modest hit streak to five games, going 8-for-17 (.471) over that stretch. June has been a good month for the rookie, posting a .318-4-17-12-1 line in 21 games. Hopefully this is more of what we'll see for the rest of the season for the budding star.

Jackson Chourio Hits Inside-The-Park Home Run

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio went 2-for-4 in Wednesday afternoon's win over the visiting Texas Rangers, tallying his eighth home run of the season. Chourio hit an inside-the-park homer to center field off Rangers right-hander Nathan Eovaldi, knotting the game at five runs apiece in the fourth inning. The 20-year-old top prospect has picked it up in June after looking overmatched at the plate for most of the year, slashing .302/.348/.492 with three long balls, three doubles, 13 RBI, and two stolen bases over 63 at-bats this month. Chourio is worth a look if he's hanging around fantasy waiver wires in shallow leagues.

Jackson Chourio Goes Deep In Monday's Win

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio was 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk during Monday's 3-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. The 20-year-old smoked a Jose Berrios slurve over the left field wall for his seventh homer of the season. It has been a rocky rookie season for Chourio as the highlights have been coupled with prolonged slumps. He is slashing .220/.263/.363 with 22 RBI, 24 runs scored and seven stolen bases across 57 games. The Brewers continue to give him regular playing time which is the only reason to roster him in redraft leagues at this point. He is batting .300 with two homers in June, so maybe a hot streak is around the corner.
