Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa (wrist) has returned to the starting lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Seattle Mariners. Correa was forced to exit early on Thursday after getting hit in the wrist by a pitch. Afterwards, Correa said he was fine and that he'd play on Friday. That appears to be true as Correa will play shortstop and bat second against right-hander Logan Gilbert on Friday. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups with Correa back in the mix.

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa (thumb) said his hand went numb initially when he got hit by a pitch in Thursday's win over the Arizona Diamondbacks but he was relieved after his X-rays came back negative. Correa said he'd be ready to play in Friday's series opener on the road in Seattle against the Mariners. It remains to be seen if Twins manager Rocco Baldelli will actually pencil him into the lineup, but the bottom line is that the 29-year-old avoided a long-term injury after what initially looked like it could be a serious injury. Correa got a hit in his only official at-bat of Thursday's game before leaving and was on a heater in June coming into the game, batting .382 (34-for-89) with four homers, four doubles and 18 RBI in 22 games. If he's in the lineup on Friday, keep him in your starting fantasy lineups.

Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa (arm) was forced to exit early during Thursday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Correa took a 94-mph fastball off his right arm which forced him to exit the contest. The assumption is that the 29-year-old will undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury. Kyle Farmer shifted over to shortstop after Correa was forced to leave. He could see additional playing time or Brooks Lee might receive a call-up if Correa does miss an extended period of time.UPDATE: Correa doesn't have a fracture in his wrist after undergoing an X-ray and he's considered day-to-day with a right-wrist contusion.

Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two RBI in Thursday's loss versus the New York Yankees. Correa's homer came off Marcus Stroman in the top of the first inning. Correa has been putting together a solid season for the Twins with a .253 batting average to go along with five homers and 24 RBI in 158 at-bats. Correa's not the offensive threat that he was earlier in his career, but he is still doing to help managers in deeper leagues and more importantly has looked healthy. Correa will look keep it up versus Mitch Keller on Friday evening.

Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa is getting a rare day off on Sunday as the team faces the Astros in Houston. With Correa out, Willi Castro will make the start at the 6 for the Twins and will bat sixth against Astros right-hander Hunter Brown. Correa will get a breather after starting in each of the team's last 21 games. He wrapped up the month of May on Friday by hitting .255 (25-for-98) with three home runs, nine doubles, two triples, 14 RBI, 10 walks and 22 strikeouts in 110 plate appearances over 27 games. The two-time All-Star is currently healthy and is a must-start when he's in the starting lineup in most fantasy leagues. Castro has been much better against lefties in 2024 but his hitting a respectable .260 (51-for-196) overall with four homers and seven stolen bases in a utility role for the Twins. He's never faced Brown in his career.
