Brenton Doyle Swats Pair Of Homers

Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle hit a pair of homers in Monday's 8-7 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. Doyle, who finished 3-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base, hit a two-run homer in the second before launching a solo blast in the eighth that tied the score at 7-7. He is hitting .260/.323/.408 with nine homers, 30 RBI, 48 runs scored, and 20 stolen bases. After struggling in June that saw him finish with a .223/.245/.298 slash line, Doyle and his fantasy managers hope Monday's effort is the jumping-off point for better numbers. His stolen-base potential alone will keep Doyle in the good graces of fantasy managers.

Brenton Doyle Has Big Day In Loss

Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle recorded four hits in five at-bats in Tuesday's loss versus the division rival Los Angeles Dodgers. Doyle had three singles and had a solo home run. In addition, Doyle had a pair of RBI and runs scored. The 26-year-old has been one of the lone bright spots in what has been a dismal year for the Colorado Rockies. Helping across the board, Doyle has hit .274 with six homers, 21 RBI and 18 stolen bases. Doyle will have the next five games this week with Coors Field at his advantage and should be in all daily lineups through the rest of the week. Even on a bad team, Doyle has found a way to be productive and should be rostered in more formats.

Brenton Doyle On Base Four Times Wednesday

Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle went 2-for-2 with two walks in Wednesday's 7-4 win over the Guardians. Doyle also scored once, but it could have been an even more productive day had he not been caught stealing once and picked off once. The former fourth-round draft pick's batting average hit a high-water mark of .330 on April 25, but has seen it drop to .271 since then. He's been able to get on base via the walk, however, with 14 walks in his last 16 games, which has afforded him opportunities to steal bases. The speedster has ten stolen bases over the last 17 games after stealing just four over the first 36 games. He's also remained fantasy-relevant due to his ability to score, having crossed the plate 36 times so far this season.
