Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernandez is back in left field and will bat second on Wednesday in Chicago against the White Sox and right-hander Erick Fedde. Hernandez left the team briefly to take care of a personal matter in the Dominican Republic and missed the first two games of the series in the Windy City, but he's back now and should be returned to all starting fantasy lineups amid an excellent first season in Hollywood. He has also homered twice with three RBI in his four career at-bats against Fedde, so the matchup is an excellent one for DFS managers. The 31-year-old right-handed slugger had a down year in 2023 with the Seattle Mariners and had a career-high 211 strikeouts, but he's bounced back in a big way and has been ultra-productive in a potent Dodgers lineup by hitting .254 (77-for-303) with 18 homers, 54 RBI and 43 runs scored in 79 games.

Fantasy managers need not fret, as Hernandez left the team to deal with a personal matter and should be back in the starting lineup on Wednesday. With Hernandez out of action for a second straight day, Miguel Vargas will draw into the lineup in left field and bat eighth against White Sox right-hander Chris Flexen. The 31-year-old Hernandez has been extremely productive in the middle of a powerhouse Dodgers lineup in his first year in LA and is a must-start in fantasy when he's active. He's currently batting .254/.321/.492 with an .813 OPS, 18 long balls, 16 doubles, a triple, 54 RBI and four steals in 79 games.

There is no injury being reported, so it's assumed that this is a routine rest day for Hernandez. It is a bit odd to see Hernandez getting a day off against a left-handed starting pitcher. Regardless, Hernandez will sit out with Jason Heyward and Miguel Vargas covering the corner outfield spots on Monday.UPDATE: Hernandez is in the Dominican Republic for personal reasons and is expected to rejoin the team in Chicago on Tuesday.
