Tampa Bay Buccaneers running backs Rachaad White (illness) and Bucky Irving (hamstring) are both officially active on Sunday for a Week 4 contest against the Philadelphia Eagles at Raymond James Stadium. White was a late addition to the injury report this week and was listed as questionable on Saturday due to an illness, but he will play. Through the first three weeks of the season, White has underwhelmed as Tampa's lead back, averaging just 2.1 yards per carry on 31 rushing attempts for 66 yards and no touchdowns, adding 12 catches for 98 yards. Meanwhile, the rookie Irving has averaged 6.2 yards per tote on 25 carries for 154 yards while catching five passes for 28 yards. Irving has looked more spry and has obviously been more productive, potentially leading to a more even split this weekend in Tampa. Both backs should be considered RB3/flex plays against the Eagles as the Bucs look to bounce back after a lackluster showing against Denver in Week 3.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White (illness) is expected to play against the Eagles. He had a case of food poisoning, resulting in his name being added to the Bucs' injury report. Fortunately, it appears he's feeling better. White has struggled throughout the first three games of the year, running for 66 yards off 31 carries and adding 12 catches for 98 yards. Even worse, he hasn't found the end zone. With that said, despite the added involvement of Bucky Irving (hamstring), who is also in line to play in Week 4, White remains a flex option versus Philly.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White (illness) was added to the injury report as questionable, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. White is in danger of missing Week 4's game against the Eagles on Sunday after a late injury designation. He will likely be a game-time call and should he miss Week 4, Bucky Irving (hamstring) would be in line for a bigger role and would be a must-start fantasy RB. But Irving himself is questionable with a hamstring injury. The Buccaneers running back situation should be monitored closely before Sunday's game against Philadelphia. White has been ceding some work in the backfield to Irving in the past weeks anyway, so this is a very fluid situation.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White has failed to eclipse over 35 rushing yards through the first three games of the season. Luckily, White's ability in the receiving game has helped salvage his fantasy value. At this point, it's unclear if the Bucs are going to ride with White as the early down back. Instead, Bucky Irving could get the a majority of the rushing attempts while White works as the primary pass catcher in the backfield. Fantasy managers in high PPR leagues should still be able to get decent value from White because of his receiving ability. However, he's unlikely to have much success on the ground against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4. White is going to fall into the low-end RB2 mix until he proves he can run the ball.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White was unable to find his rhythm during Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. This is now back-to-back duds for White who opened up the season with a bang. On Sunday, White rushed six times for 17 yards while hauling in five of his six targets for an additional 18 yards through the air. The Broncos defense did a great job of containing White throughout this contest. Fantasy managers in high PPR leagues got a decent performance from White because of all the receptions. He should continue to be an important piece of the offense which keeps him as a RB2 for next week's matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.
