Los Angeles Rams wide receivers Cooper Kupp (ankle) and Jordan Whittington (shoulder) were both limited in practice for the second straight day on Thursday. Kupp suffered a left high-ankle sprain in Week 2 and hasn't played since, but he's getting closer to making a return and could be active this Sunday in a great matchup against the floundering Las Vegas Raiders. The 31-year-old veteran is most likely to be listed as questionable on Friday, but he still has one more day to impress the coaching and training staff. Head coach Sean McVay said on Wednesday that Kupp was trending in the right direction. Fantasy managers definitely will want to get Kupp back in their starting lineups if he's able to get the green light to play. He was looking like a league-winner before his injury, catching 18 of 27 targets for 147 yards and a touchdown in two games.
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said that it's possible that wide receiver Cooper Kupp (ankle) makes his return in Week 7 to face the Las Vegas Raiders. The Athletic's Jourdan Rodrigue reports that Kupp will do individual drills with his position group in practice on Wednesday, according to McVay. It means that Kupp will likely be listed as limited on Wednesday's final injury report. Kupp is trying to return from a left high-ankle sprain that he suffered in the Week 2 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Before the injury, though, he was looking unstoppable with 18 catches (27 targets) for 147 yards and a touchdown in two games. If the 31-year-old returns to face the Raiders this Sunday, he could eat for fantasy managers with Puka Nacua (knee) still on Injured Reserve.UPDATE: Kupp was officially limited on Wednesday.
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp (ankle) had a positive workout on Monday. The veteran wideout appears to be trending in the right direction ahead of the Week 7 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. It sounds like Kupp has a chance at suiting up this weekend, but that'll depend on how he feels during practice. Kupp hasn't played since he was forced to exit early during the Week 2 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. He'd immediately go right back into his WR1 spot if he's cleared to suit up in Week 7. Fantasy managers will have to check back for another update during the week.
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp (ankle) is scheduled to work on the side with trainers on Monday in LA's first practice since their Week 6 bye, per Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times. Currently, no designation has been made about his status for Sunday. It's ideal news for Kupp ahead of the earliest anticipated target date for his return. However, fantasy managers will want to monitor his status over the coming days ahead of the team's Week 7 home tilt against the Las Vegas Raiders. The 31-year-old hasn't appeared in a game since he was forced from the Rams' Week 2 loss to the Cardinals early, and he would be an immediate boost to LA's offense and fantasy lineups upon his return. The Raiders have been one of the stronger matchups against opposing passing attacks, but Kupp would present as a solid WR2/3 in his first game back if he's healthy enough to suit up.
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said that a Week 7 return for wide receiver Cooper Kupp (ankle) "would be an ideal target" while adding that was the "optimistic target date" from a few weeks ago. "By no means is that guaranteed," McVay said. The head coach declined to say whether Kupp would be back at practice after the team's bye in Week 6. A sprained left ankle suffered back in Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals has kept the 31-year-old sidelined ever since. Fantasy managers are desperately waiting for Kupp's return, as he was looking like his 2021 self when he was named the Offensive Player of the Year. Through two games before spraining his ankle in 2024, Kupp had 18 catches on 27 targets for 147 yards and one touchdown. With Puka Nacua (knee) on Injured Reserve as well, Tutu Atwell, Demarcus Robinson and Jordan Whittington have seen role boosts.
