Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) remained limited during Thursday's practice. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to Friday's injury report as the Alabama product may carry an injury designation into the weekend and could be in danger of missing his second-straight game. Last weekend, while Robinson was sidelined, Austin Ekeler was deployed as the lead running back while Chris Rodriguez Jr. served as the No.2 option. If Robinson were to remain out this weekend, Ekeler could once again produce solid RB2 production against the Pittsburgh Steelers with Rodriguez becoming a viable flex option in deeper formats.
Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) is expected to practice on Wednesday, according to Ben Standig of The Athletic. In addition, Standig reported that the coaching staff is "really going to push it this week." Fantasy managers should monitor his status throughout the week, but this is a positive sign for his availability for this weekend's tilt against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Last weekend, Robinson was a game-time decision but was eventually ruled out. In his absence, Austin Ekeler and Chris Rodriguez Jr. saw the majority of carries out of the backfield. If Robinson were to miss his second straight game, Ekeler should be viewed as a solid RB2, with Rodriguez becoming a viable flex option in deeper formats.UPDATE: Robinson was limited in Wednesday's practice.
Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) will be inactive in Week 9 versus the division-rival New York Giants on Sunday. As of Sunday morning, Robinson was expected to be OK to play, but plans changed after he was put through a pre-game workout. He came into Sunday's game listed as questionable on the final injury report. Fantasy managers that were planning on starting Robinson this weekend will obviously have to move him to their benches now. Austin Ekeler essentially becomes a must-start in fantasy with B-Rob out in a good matchup against a Giants defense that has given up the 10th-most half-PPR fantasy points to RBs in the last three weeks. Behind Ekeler, Jeremy McNichols will also see an uptick in usage as Washington's No. 2 back against New York.
Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) is currently listed as questionable ahead of the Week 9 matchup against the New York Giants. Robinson was limited throughout the week, which put his status for Sunday in real danger. However, Robinson is reportedly making great progress and appears to be good to go for Sunday's divisional contest. Fantasy managers should check back ahead of kickoff for official confirmation. Austin Ekeler would remain as the primary backup, assuming Robinson is able to go on Sunday.
Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) is anticipated to play in Sunday's NFC East matchup with the New York Giants. The Commanders elevated Chris Rodriguez Jr. off the practice squad on Saturday, with many believing the move meant Robinson wouldn't be on the field. However, it appears he'll be out there, which is great news for fantasy managers. The 25-year-old has had a fantastic 2024-25 campaign, accumulating 461 yards and six touchdowns off 101 carries. He's a must-start in Week 9, although his expected participation in Sunday's contest will likely result in lower production from Austin Ekeler.
